I wonder if it’s hard being so darn cute all the time?

😉
Elayna just cracks me up lately. More and more each day. She is becoming a little girl, and leaving her baby days behind! It’s hard for me to accept this a lot of the time, so when she says the things she says, it seems so amazing to me. I feel like my baby is speaking like such a bigger kid, when in reality, she has developed a lot recently, and can use an extensive vocabulary to describe what she sees, experiences, and imagines.

A couple of random examples from the past couple days:

1. The other day she pulled out her doctor kit and put the stethoscope around her neck. She walked over to me and says, “Layna’s a doctor. That’s scope (points to stethoscope). Layna checks mommy (puts it on my heart and pretends to listen by cocking her head to the side). Sounds good! ….. HEY!! Layna’s a doctor like Dr. Seuss!!” – I almost died. 🙂

2. Yesterday she looked around the living room and said “No Christmas tree. Where’d that guy go, huh? Go find it!” Gosh, I love her.
