Today Jake and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary!

Our friend (and Joaquin’s mommy) Annie watched Elayna so that Jake and I could sneak off for a quick picnic dinner. We took a big blanket, some sandwiches, soda and brownies up to the Portland Rose Gardens and sat in the Shakespeare Garden where we got married two years ago. It was beautiful and brought back many happy memories. We ate our dessert at the Hoyt Arboretum where our reception was held.

I would have to say that, besides the day Elayna came into our family, our wedding day was the happiest of my life.

I do my best to remember, even on a bad day, that I am luckier than anyone I know, to have married my very best friend and to have such an amazing partner in this life. Jake is the best daddy I know… and he never stops striving to make me laugh and to remind me that I am loved. Who could ask for more, right?!
