I found out yesterday that I had today off, so it was an impromptu mommy & Elayna day. I was sooooooo excited to spend some quality time with Elayna!
This morning when she woke up I brought her into bed with me and we snuggled and giggled like crazy. It was so sweet!
We spent most of the morning at the Children’s Museum. A favorite spot of ours, if you haven’t guessed by now.

(Oh, and if you are wondering what Elayna’s favorite thing about the CM is, its the plastic corn. I’m pretty sure. She carried it around for a good chunk of the time. HA!)

This was especially funny because Elayna loves storytime and usually sits nicely to listen. This time, as soon as the reader was done with the first books, Elayna went and sat at her feet and flipped through one of them, about 300 times, while she read the other books. She loved the paper pages, as most of her play books are board pages. Cute!

Of course I had to comment and say that's a sign of a true Iowa girl! Glad someone beat me to the gist of it!
I was just going to say that her Iowa roots were showing through, but they already beat me to the punch! The children's museum is SOOO fun and I'm so happy you got a girlie day, just the two of you!
