So, Elayna and I had a mommy-daughter day and went to the library to read as many books as possible (one of our favorite things to do)… and while the visit was uneventful, the walk back to the car was anything but.
About 50 feet outside the library doors, Elayna burst into song.
Now, I want to assure you that I am not exaggerating about her dramatic flair in this moment (or in most of her singing). She was all in. She danced around and sang Elmo’s Song at the top of her little voice, then moving on to Layna’s Song, Mommy’s Song, Daddy’s Song, Tree’s Song, etc., complete with jazz hands at the close of each one.
People stopped to watch. YES, I’m serious. A few people stopped and stood behind me and watched her performance, saying how cute it was.
After a little while I suggested we head to the car since it was lunch time and we had to get back, and she happily obliged me.
What a ham!!! Is she going to be on Broadway? If so, she is off to a great start!! 🙂
